• Mr. F.M. Borhan Uddin Assumed the charge of the Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah on 16 February 2017

Mr. F.M. Borhan Uddin joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Foreign Affairs) in 1995 through a country-wide competitive examination. He started his career as an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka in the same year. Subsequently, he served as Senior Assistant Secretary and Director in different wings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served in the Bangladesh Missions abroad in different capacities; Third/Second Secretary in Cairo, First Secretary/Vice Consul in Dubai, First Secretary in Seoul, Counsellor/Minister in Colombo, Consul General in Istanbul and currently working as Consul General in Jeddah.

Mr. F.M. Borhan Uddin graduated from the University of Dhaka (BSS Hon. in Sociology) and did his Masters (MSS in Sociology) from the same University. Later, he graduated in Law (LLB Hon.) from the University of London. He passed his HSC from Notre Dame College in Dhaka and SSC from Ikhari Katenga Fazlul Haque High School in Khulna.
